The Royals scored three times off Willie Collazo in the second in a game that took 2:13. AAA games in the season’s final week are often very quick.
LF Chris Aguila was 2-4 with a double and Valentino Pascucci was 2-4 with a solo homer, his 26th. 1B Michel Abreu was 2-3 with a solo jack and a walk.

Binghamton (AA – Eastern League)
Binghamton Mets 6, @ New Hampshire FisherCats 3
CF Fernando Martinez (.286/.337/.422) was 3-5 with a triple, his fourth of the year and an RBI. SS Jose Coronado was 2-5 with a double and a run scored.
Michael Antonini (1-2, 3.86) won on a night in which he gave up three solo homeruns in six innings.
The win combined with Portland’s 2-0 loss to New Britain moves the B-Mets two games out a playoff berth with five games to play.

St. Lucie (A+ – Florida State League)
@ Palm Beach Cardinals 9, St. Lucie Mets 1 (7 innings)
St. Lucie Mets 2, Palm Beach Cardinals 1 (7 innings)
In game one, the Cardinals touched Nick Waechter for six runs in three innings. Marlon Anderson was 0-3 with a walk, a strikeout and an error.
In game two, LF Brahiam Maldonado (.234/.290/.328) lifted a two-run homer in the fifth to give the Mets all of their offense. Josh Stinson started and fanned six in four innings in which he gave up one run. Emary Frederick vultured the win with three strikeouts in 1.2 innings to move the game into the sixth.

Savannah (A – South Atlantic League)
@ Charleston RiverDogs 9, Savannah Sand Gnats 3
Seventeen-year old SS Wilmer Flores was totally overwhelmed by his first game in the SAL. Or not. He was 2-5. RF Carlos Guzman was 3-5.
Mark Cohoon was strong over four shutout innings, striking out five and walking two, but the bullpen was not so hot.

Brooklyn (SSA – New York Penn League)
@ Brooklyn Cyclones 3, Oneonta 1
Brad Holt was wild. He gave up one run on four hits and three walks in five innings while bouncing two wild pitches. He struck out five. Roy Merritt struck out two in his three shutout innings. Jim Johnson punched out two in the ninth in nailing down his first save.
CF Sean Ratliff was 2-4 with a solo homer and three RBI. Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Jordan Abruzzo were each 2-4 with two singles.

The Mets took advantage of the end of the Kingsport and GCL season to move players around. First, Scott Moviel joins Maikel Cleto in his promotion from Savannah to St. Lucie. In 24 starts with Savannah, Moviel was 9-8 with a 4.43 ERA. He struck out 82 and walked 36 in 120 IP.
The Mets promoted SS Wilmer Flores, 1B/3B Stefan Welch and RHP Michael Powers from Kingsport to Savannah.
LHP Mitch Houck and RHP Samuel Martinez were promoted from the GCL to Savannah.

Maikel Cleto has been promoted to St. Lucie from Savannah where he was 5-11 with a 4.25 ERA. The hard-throwing Cleto had struck out 81and walked 34 in 135.2 IP. In August, he had allowed 12 runs in 15 IP.
Marlon Anderson has been added to the St. Lucie roster on MLB rehab. I think this item speaks for itself.
