Earlier I took a look at who’s off to a fast start and, unfortunately, here’s a list of players who wishes that was them:
- OF Nick Evans, Bisons (pictured): After having a great spring, he’s hitting just .122 to start the season (5-for-41) with 13 strikeouts.

- LHP Jonathan Niese, Bisons: It’s been a nightmarish start for Niese, who has now allowed 22 hits and 12 earned runs in his first two starts spanning 12.1 innings.
- SS Ruben Tejada, B-Mets: Although he had two hits yesterday, it’s been rough early on for the nineteen-year-old at the plate. He’s hitting .194 (6-for-31) with a .324 OBP and .226 SLG.
- RHP Jose Sanchez, B-Mets: He got rocked in Saturday’s start against Portland, getting knocked around for ten hits and nine earned runs.
- 1B Ike Davis, St. Lucie: After having multi-hit games on the 15th and 16th, the first-basemen is now 3 for his last 19 with six strikeouts.
- RHP Wendy Rosa, Savannah: The SAL is giving the reliever fits. He gave up 8 runs in 11 innings last year for the Gnats and has surrendered 5 runs and 5 walks in 4.2 innings so far in 2009.

Jose de la Torre has two blown saves and a loss in his last two outings.
One could say the fact that he is in the FSL for the third year in a row is cold all on its own…
