In his weekly Farm Report yesterday, Adam Rubin wrote about Cyclones 1B Sam Honeck and the whirlwind surrounding the draft and the beginning of a professional baseball career.  Honeck knows what the deal is for professional firstbasemen:

“I know going in that first base is usually looked at as a power position. You’re supposed to have your home runs, your RBI up. I’m working hard every day, I’m lifting weights, I’m doing everything I can to get bigger and stronger and hopefully I can keep my numbers up in those categories.”
