Hopefully that cutter keeps coming along. He hasn't thrown it in the majors, thought it might have been a myth. I would think he'd need to lean on that pitch, an 85 mph cutter with enough movement to be called a slider has to be better than an 88 mph fastball with absolutely no movement to speak of.

Nice write up about Niese.. I followed via MiLB Gameday, I noticed he got alot of groundballs early.. kept his pitch count low too obviously, which allowed him to go 8 innings.

As for the Bisons losing, I bet I can point out a more pathetic team - the Mets. Even with all those Bisons losses, Im sure the Mets have been loads more frustrating since they continue to find new ways to make themselves look like a foolish organization.. FMart officially made himself a NY Met by making an ugly blooper in CF.... okay but seriously, its nice to see him hit his 1st major-league homer.. I hope to see him continued to be played by Jerry, Reed is not a better option.. I cant see the Mets going anywhere this year anyway, let him stay up for as long as possible and get the MLB experience.
