SSA: Brooklyn Cyclones 4, @ Staten Island Yankees 0  (7 innings)
@ Staten Island Yankees 3, Brooklyn Cyclones 2 (7 innings)

Game 1: Brandon Moore: 7 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K, (3-0, 0.62)
In game two, Jimmy Fuller (3-1, 1.08) took the hill in the bottom of the seventh trying to protect a 2-1 lead.  After consecutive groundball singles, he committed a throwing error on a bunt attempt to load the bases.  Matias Carillo relieved him at that point and gave up the game-winning double.  Fuller fanned seven and walked one.

Rookie (App): @ Kingsport Mets 10, Elizabethton Twins 9
A seven-run fifth for Kingsport helped the Mets open up an 8-4 lead.  The last time the New York Mets scored seven runs in a game was July 2nd, over a week ago.  When was the last time the big league team scored seven runs in an inning?  2006?  Does it just feel like that?
Alonzo Harris (.260/.286/.466) belt.  ed his third homer of the year for Kingsport in a 3-5 night.  He’s also 4-4 stealing bases.  The only downside to his start: he’s swinging at everything with 22K and 3 BB in 73 AB.  If he can find a little plate discipline, the 20-year old will be one to watch out for.

Rookie (GCL): GCL Mets 10, GCL Cardinals 0
Now this is the way to get yourself out of the GCL.  Yohan Almonte tossed six shutout innings, giving up just three hits and a walk, while fanning 10.  In 13.2 innings in the GCL, the 19-year-old from Sabana de la Mar, DR has 17 K and just one walk.  Almonte’s progression last year in the DSL, where he finished 3-3 with a 2.95 ERA is kinda amazing:
June: 0-3, 6.35, 17 IP, 21 H, 17 R, 12 ER, 12 B, 10 K
July: 1-0-2, 2.22, 20 IP, 16 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 9 BB, 24 K
August: 2-0, 1.13, 24 IP, 22 H, 7 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 21 K
