heh, milb.com has Collin McHugh as tonights Cyclones starter… he threw 6 innings last night. That can’t be good for his arm.
With Savannah losing Schwinden who do we thing will be promoted to take his rotation spot? Moore, Cohoon, McHugh, or someone from Kingsport? Too easy?
*think*
Apparently its tough to get a flight from Brooklyn to Savannah…
actually Armando Rodriguez was promoted from Kingsport. He has handled the APL and looks ready to handly the challenge of the NYPL. But instead he’ll get a whirl in the SAL.
so um davis decided to pop up in the middle of the game and hit a HR off a lefty.
Is this Davis’s first action since he missed a few days?
milb.com seems to think its more important to have Davis on the Surprise Rafters roster than have his B-Mets stats on his player page… stupid…
Nice that he popped a lefty, kind of worrysome that he would return to action in this way. Wabick took a tour of the bases station to station and then Davis replaced him in the field. I’d rather he either be healthy and start, or not play… you know?
Err, I did a milb.com player search for Davis and Ike comes up on the Portland Sea Dogs… oh my… lol
yeah i searched him earlier in the day and they had im set on the rafters roster already. davis was supposedly healthy enough to at least pinch hit anyway so i dont think its a big deal…. plus he a hit HR off a lefty – he must be quite fine.
Weird goings on in MLB tonight.
First Livan Hernandez battles Rich Harden and the Cubs to a 2-2 draw.
His line: 6 IP, 5 hits, 2 BB, 6 K. No runs allowed in the first inning either… possibly his best start this year against a team not the Nationals.
I wonder what might have happened if the Mets had skipped his start and let him work on things, the extra rest may have helped. But it seems like his release had more to do with saving some bonuses.
Second, the game in Toronto tonight has had three different home plate umpires due to injury. After the second delay one of the second HP umpire took a position in the field rather than stay behind the plate. Not sure if they have to have at least three umpires to have a MLB game, but I’ve never seen that before.
murton got DFA’ed
hmmm…
would i rather pay him the minimum to be above average, or pay 5 million for francoeur to suck shit.
hmmmm…
god dammit, this is just going to make me angry.
