Ike Davis has been named to the Arizona Fall League’s Rising Stars Showcase on Saturday night.  The game, which will begin at 4:15 ET will be carried live for the first time on the MLB Network.
Through 12 games, Davis is hitting .340/.370/.640 with six doubles, three HR and 13 strikeouts in 12 games.  The AFL is hitting .284/.363/.444.

Also on Tuesday, Scott Moviel and Josh Stinson both threw.  Moviel gave up his first run of the AFL season.  He walked three and gave up three hits in a 1.2 innings and it could have been worse, but for Stinson stranded two of Moviel’s runners.

Adam Rubin reports that Lucas Duda sprained his right wrist the first week of the AFL season and has gone home.  His departure from the Surprise Rafters opened up the roster spot now occupied by Nick Evans who doubled and walked Tuesday.
